Our client is seeking a Senior Asset Manager, EMEA responsible for managing equipment residual values, collateral valuations and remarketing responsibilities for asset finance transactions and RVGs across EMEA. The incumbent will work closely with senior management and Credit Risk to prioritize equipment types and appropriate residual risk levels and lease terms for those targeted equipment types. The position will be responsible for conducting inspections and appraisals for existing portfolio transactions and performing the annual portfolio residual impairment review. The position will be responsible for maximizing the residual income generated from negotiating the renewal and sale of terminating leases with the EMEA client base

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the growth of EMEA Asset Finance business
This position requires knowledge and experience of a wide range of equipment markets, over multiple international jurisdictions and regulatory environments
Proactively manage the process of establishing residual values for potential lease transactions
Review a high volume of future value estimates and residual analyses
Facilitate competitive residual assumptions that prudently support the company’s new business volume objectives
Work with a large, diverse marketing and sales group to support, advise, and expedite, but also effectively control, the front-end residual/collateral process
Assist Credit, Legal, Transaction Management, Sales and Sales Management in structuring transactions to ensure that the company is protected in the event of lessee default
Construct documents and provide specific terms and conditions designed to protect the company’s investments
Reinforce and enhance residual policies, controls and analytical approaches to support the company’s equipment and risk management objectives
Maintain databases, resource/reference materials, and a library of equipment knowledge
Build and maintain a strong appraiser/remarketer network of external suppliers and relationships
Evaluate new target markets and provide responsive support for analyzing, winning and managing new investment opportunities
Maximize residual income from the sale of equipment through the effective negotiation of sales and extended rentals with lessees and other markets

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Bachelor’s Degree is highly desirable
Membership and training from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is a distinct advantage
In depth experience in an equipment management role is required
A strong preference for a background in a broad range of equipment types and international equipment markets
Deductive reasoning ability; analytical skills; advanced communication and marketing skills across international jurisdictions and cultures; ability to demonstrate leadership, control and planning; creativity; influence others; work precisely; handle variety and change; follow instructions and solve problems
