Our client is seeking a Financial Controller – UK Leasing (on a 12 month fixed term contract) responsible for the overall management of the UK Leasing Accounting department; ensuring Compliance with all Statutory Accounting Rules, USGAAP and Regulatory reporting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a team of 14 – cross training to cover all tasks
Produce USGAAP accounts on a monthly basis within the timetables set by the US parent
Prepare a month end pack including analysis against plan and outlook
Review all Balance Sheet accounts on either a monthly or quarterly basis and certify that they are reconciled
Ensure that cash is allocated on a daily basis highlighting any unallocated cash at month end
Work as part of a project team on implementing new systems including Lease Accounting and General Ledger systems
Ensure fees are paid to partners/concessionaires by the contract date
Lead Planning and Control analysing the leasing portfolio for Yields/Gross Profit, reporting on any variances against plan
Work with the Marketing group providing lease marketing reporting as requested
Ensure sales persons commission are calculated against the sale targets and paid accordingly
Bad Debt control and booking

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Appropriate accounting professional qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Lease accounting experience is essential
Similar role in US leasing organisation preferred
Must have previous management experience with proven skills including ability to recruit, train, motivate and provide performance development support
Strong communication interpersonal skills to encourage working in a team environment, willing to encourage and lead change as the marketplace and other factors require
