Our client is seeking a Credit Manager to support the credit process to ensure the integrity, quality and enforceability of new business proposals as well as directly managing specialist brokers to develop new business opportunities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a target based role measured on the performance and profitability of the portfolio.
Assist on the management of funder relationships including submitting new business proposals and meeting reporting requirements
Obtaining the information required to write a Credit Proposal which may include direct communication – face to face or by telephone – with a prospective customer
Attending customer meetings with sales team
Writing Credit Proposals in accordance with credit process
Participating in credit process including presenting Credit Proposals to other underwriters or credit committee
Approving Credit Proposals under own Credit Approval authority
Accurately communicating approval conditions to Sales, Vendors and Brokers
Managing Broker relationships at both executive and customer facing levels to include preparing documentation, both standard and bespoke, for new business and responsibility for the day to day management and reporting of the programmes
Portfolio reporting and analysis
Arrears and recovery support as well as a requirement to take some management responsibility for the Operations team

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Self-motivated high-achiever with at least 5 years proven and demonstrable successful experience in a vendor or direct leasing environment
Proven experience of credit underwriting in a vendor or direct leasing environment and having held a credit approval authority
Understanding of financial statements and how to analyse them including clear understanding of cashflow
Ability to thrive in a performance measured and strong risk management environment
Experience of deal structuring and documentation
