SUMMARY:
Our client, a global bank based equipment finance company seek a Regional Sales Manager based in Germany with responsibility for meeting and exceeding the revenue goals of the Central Europe region (Germany, Benelux, Austria & Switzerland). The role involves the local management as well as coaching, developing and building the regional sales team


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for meeting the region’s sales volumes and Incremental Revenue targets
  • Working closely with Asset Management to achieve remarketing targets
  • Build and maintain a customer focused sales culture within the region
  • Recruit top quality people: Interviewing, hiring and training sales staff; planning, assigning and directing work to ensure low attrition rates
  • Motivate, lead and develop the team, setting measurable objectives, conducting regular reviews and ensuring that development and career plans are in place
  • Develop marketing plan for existing programs, sales training and performance management in the region
  • Develop consistency in the region regarding fundamental sales practice such as obtaining vendor forecasts and engaging end-user customers early within vendor programs
  • For both existing and new vendor programs in the region, identify the optimal sales support to achieve maximum penetration from programs
  • Expand vendor and end-user customer relationships that exist in one country to another within the region as appropriate
  • Use, support and implement company systems initiatives including contact management, sales forecasting, and tracking
  • Ensure consistency in the reporting of sales activities and performance measures across the region
  • Identify market requirements and recommend new products and financing opportunities to the Regional Director, Central and European Product Development Team
  • Take the lead in identifying, approaching and developing new local and or international vendor programs in close cooperation with the Regional Director, Central
  • Ensure clear communications exist within the sales force regarding the goals, vendor program issues, policies and procedures, etc. Serve as a conduit for needs of the sales team in the region to be communicated to the Regional Director, Central
  • Be available to undertake such travel as the Company may require from time to time.

     

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • 5+ years experience of increasing responsibility in sales and sales management roles preferred
  • 5+ years of leasing, preferably vendor leasing, experience
  • Good knowledge of the Central region operating lease market, finance leases and general IT financing / deal structuring
  • Strong knowledge of documentation structuring, tax and accounting issues, asset management and remarketing
  • Experience developing and/or working with contact management software and other technology to enhance sales efforts and the organization as a whole
  • Strong communication interpersonal skills to encourage working in a team environment, willingness to share and listen to new ideas and willing to encourage and lead change as the marketplace and other factors require
  • Track record of delivering Board level presentations
  • Cooperative work style and ability to communicate effectively with internal teams to complete transactions
  • Ideal Location: Germany (Preferably Darmstadt)
