Our client seeks an experienced asset based lending new business origination specialist to develop direct driven business with CFO’s of mid & large corporate customers.

 

You will be selling asset based, ( rather than asset backed ) , corporate invoice discounting , inventory & stocking finance & also securitization / receivables solutions.

 

Your focus will be on establishing new name corporate customers opportunities for deal sizes in the £15M to £250M sector and your role will one of identifying and then prospecting, building relationships with customers & qualifying opportunities before handing over qualified opportunities to be structured & closed by colleagues working in the same sales team.

 

Expectations are that you will in your first year prospect & identify three or four genuine opportunities that will lead to the execution of one closed transaction.

 

Candidate Profile

 

This can be a home based role so location is flexible but you should have good access to the motorway network and major conurbations. Risk Manager - Big Ticket Asset Finance - City of London 

Our client a leading bank owned big ticket asset financier requires an additional Risk Manager to be based from their City of London offices. Your role will be to manage a sub-portfolio of borrowers / facilities and undertake credit risk assessment of new business transactions to ensure effective and efficient credit risk management of exposures across the business. The role-holder will be accountable for the credit quality of his/her sub-portfolio, ensuring that credit issues and trends are identified and escalated / communicated to Risk and business stakeholders.

 

Detailed responsibilities will include the following :

 

 

  • As part of a team of Analysts working manage a sub-portfolio of customers / deals to ensure effective and efficient credit risk management of exposures across the business.
  • At least annually, support the Senior Credit Manager, in the production of sector reviews, and work with the business unit (or units) to help ensure that credit risk appetite, strategy, policies and processes for the sector are defined, aligned, implemented and monitored.
  • Develop and retain credit risk and industry sector expertise through both internal and external contacts with market participants, including due diligence and customer visits.
  • Maintain oversight and credit risk management of the portfolio, ensuring that credit issues and trends are identified and escalated / communicated to risk and business stakeholders.
  • Support business development through the credit risk assessment of new business transactions.  Work with front line teams in structuring such transactions.
  • Produce annual credit risk assessments of borrowers / facilities.
  • Produce additional credit risk assessments of borrowers / facilities where existing facilities are being refinanced or materially varied.
  • Maintain an active dialogue with Business Support to ensure that the timeliness and extent of Business Support involvement in managing underperforming borrowers / facilities is appropriate.
  • Support and participate in change management initiatives, embracing and embedding the new principles and processes for credit risk management in Corporate Markets.
  • Support and participate in the development of Corporate Markets risk systems, improved MI and other projects to ensure delivery of “best in class” credit risk management.
  • The role may involve responsibility for managing a Junior Analyst.

 

 

Candidate Profile

 

You will be well educated ideally a graduate and possibly have some credit qualifications and be highly numerate and with strong verbal and written communication skills and of course be sustainably commutable to the City of London. You must have a strong credit background in big ticket asset finance & ideally with a leading bank owned provider. You will need experience of a wide range of on and off balance sheet products and of working the large corporate customers. You should also possess the gravitas and presence to have impact with the banks originators as the working environment has been described as a challenge culture.

 

 

Salary plus London Weighting allowance & car allowance will total c£60,000 with all usual bank based benefits

Area Manager - Asset Finance - Scotland 

 

Our client a leading national financier of traditional assets requires an additional Area Manager for its Scottish operation.

 

Your role will be to achieve targets based on volume, margin and critically additional income selling a broad range of finance products including Finance Lease, Hire Purchase & Operating Lease etc and a wide range of insurance products.

 

Business is derived 90% from customers and 10% via dealers and average ticket values are £40-50,000. Typically to achieve your on target earnings can expect a target of £3-4m of annual originations and to be selling at IRR’s of c15% plus insurance fee income of a 3% net return on capital value financed.

 

Flexibility exists to sell at higher IRR’s with lower insurance income or vice versa your overall profit contribution to the business is what is of primary importance.

 

Candidate Profile

 

You must be an experienced and successful asset finance sales professional ideally with a network of existing customers who acquire traditional assets that you can leverage in our clients environment.

 

You will be an individual who is comfortable selling both at high margins and the selling of a wide range of insurance products.

 

Location is flexible and our client is comfortable with you working from home or their offices your results are what counts in this environment not where you operate from. 

 

Realistic on target earnings are at least £75,000 and typically the majority of sales staff earn between £75,000 and £150,000. Earnings are totally uncapped and this is an environment where the leading sales staff can and do earn considerably over £200,000 per annum so high earnings for high achievers are the norm not the exception. You receive commission on every deal closed. All usual large company benefits including a car allowance or company car are provided.
